April In The Classroom

This month our theme is “spring.” We’re focusing on nature, specifically the celebration of Earth Day, as well as Easter.

As the warmer weather is finally upon us, we’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors! Please plan to dress your child accordingly so they are both comfortable and safe on the playground.

On April 3rd, we had the pleasure of meeting published author, Julia Mallory, who came into our school and read her newest book, Breathe, as well as the book Kareemah and the Black Mermaids, also written by Mallory.

Upcoming Events:

On April 15th we will be holding a picture day for all students. This will be of no cost to families. If you would like for your child to participate, there will be sign-up sheets outside of both classroom doors.

We’re planning to have an Easter party on Thursday, April 18th. This will be a potluck event in which families who choose to bring food will sign up before the party. All students and families are invited to this event which will include an easter egg hunt and some fun family crafts!

Stay tuned for additional exciting and informative news as we approach the end of the 2018-2019 school year!
